A sprig of lavender from my garden is pressed into fine white clay, then bisque-fired to preserve the profile.
Lavender and green is painted in the carved portion, then it is dipped in a gloss clear glaze and re-fired. 
It is a bit of nature preserved, and makes the perfect spot to rest a few pen nibs, a tea bag or your rings.
The dish measures 2 1/2" wide. Please allow for variations, each dish is hand-made and unique.
