The soft green on this water pot is beautifully translucent, darkening as it collects in the recesses of the carving. The pot is first thrown on the wheel using fine white stoneware, the allowed to dry a bit before small leaf shapes are hand-carved into the clay. It is then bisque-fired, before being dipped into the soft green glaze. Two cut outs on the sides allow for the brush or pen to rest, and the spout makes pouring down the drain clean and easy.
The piece measures 3 1/4" x 2 3/4" and holds 5 ounces.
