This water pot is wheel-thrown using a nutty, brown stoneware. The piece is smoothed and sanded before being bisque-fired. Once out of the kiln, it is dipped in a milky white gloss glaze and hand-painted with green underglazes. It is then fired one more time to cone 6. The brown clay peaks through the glaze, giving a weathered, rustic finish.
The pot measures 4" x 2 1/2" and is weighted on the bottom for added stability at your workspace. It holds 8 oz. of water.
